I'm unimpressed with the new haircut.
The length hits at an awkward spot below my chin and above my shoulder. It's the length you hope will quickly grow out.
The stylist said, "You have a lot of bangs," and proceeded to trim the bangs closest to the front/hairline shorter and left the bangs farther back longer.
This makes them hard to style. The longer bangs don't know they're supposed to magically blend in with my longer hair, not fall forward over top of the shorter bangs like a valance.
I'm beginning to think my stylist was not the salon's expert straight hair cutter, but rather the one who had an opening in her schedule yesterday. (Alas, so trusting was I). Thus my search for a competent, trustworthy stylist in the Valley continues.
I miss David the Hair God, my Pasadena stylist for 10+ years whom I could direct to cut my hair a certain way or let him have his way with my mane and I'd always leave with a fabulous 'do. Sigh.
