Nothing but a postcard from the Texas Department of Public Safety informing us there is a high risk sex offender living in our neighborhood.
Of course, I Googled the address provided to see exactly how close the guy is. The local police verified the address on January 3, but according to Google Earth, he lives in La Vista Park.
Close enough for a good case of the heebies.

What's the picture on the postcard? One of John Wayne Gayce's clown paintings? "Greetings from Tennessee"?
Actually, they've got a picture of the guy on the postcard, along with his height, weight, race, DOB, aliases, the age of his victim and his sentencing (10 years, now on probation).
I saw a young black guy walking in our neighborhood recently--the only black person I've *ever* seen in our neighborhood. Wonder if that was him.
