I was over at Lee and Angela's last night putting together bridal shower invitations. They were spectacular--thanks to Angela's layout, design and mail merge skills and the cute stationery she bought for them.Anyway, I asked if Lee would take a few pictures of The Ring with his digital camera. I have a greater appreciation for eBay sellers now that I've seen how hard it is to get a good picture of jewelry.
The shower invites are the first official paper wedding correspondence going out. We'll tackle the wedding invitations as soon as they get back from being reprinted.
Party City called while I was in Texas to let me know the invitations had come in. When I leafed through the invites, I saw the ink on the invitations was uneven--one line appeared darker than the rest or the top lines were noticeably darker/lighter than the bottom ones. When I got to the bottom of the stack, I found about a dozen that were either blank or damaged (some were both). There were 15 RSVP cards without printing as well.
I ordered more than I needed, but didn't calculate that printing snafus would eat up all the extras. So I sent them back to be redone. Fortunately, the turnaround time is short. Hoping for better quality in run #2.

PS: Blogger's photo posting layout options stink!
THE RING IS BITCHIN!! I love it!! It's utterly beautiful and very you. I'm so happy for you!
XO,

Three cheers for estate jewelry! I love wearing it. Very happy it's been liberated from the safety deposit box.
And three cheers for the lovely man who put it on my finger, who didn't balk (much) that we went slightly over budget to buy it. Every time I see it, I think of him and get all gushy. Thank you, supernovio! oxox ME
Wow! It's pur-dee. I like how simple it is. (Most of today's jewerly is so gaudy and HUGE and obscene.) I love a ring that's elegant and this ring is lovely. Big points to Mike and congrats again!

I like it, too. It looks especially large on your wee little hands!
As for photographing jewelry, the secret to making diamonds look sparkly is multiple light sources. For future reference.
Lovely -- I can see why you'd be excited to release it into the world!
