More wedding photos!

My adorable photographer, Margaret Sison, uploaded some 200 photos from the wedding to an online site where people can browse/order. I looked through the thumbnails when the link arrived, but it was too painful to view them larger with ye olde dial-up connection.

Enjoy perusing!

Wow!! Margaret did an AMAZING job. Not only that, but she makes us all look like we were dry and comfortable despite the fact that we collectively sweated enough water to meet the water needs of the Los Angeles Basin for a month!

And now I have to get my sorry FAT ass to the gym. I hadn't realized just how horrible I look. Ugh.

Those are awesome. I especially love that you two are kissing in the background while I'm singing!

One of my favorites is a pic of Janet brushing away a tear (or rivulet of sweat?) with Mel at the left.

We just got the proofs from Margaret--two huge photo storage boxes full and a binder full of negatives. Went through about 5 envelopes so far and they're GREAT.

It was a tear. I'm a sucker for a dramatic moment.

By the way--did I miss the picture of me fetching the spider from you bodice? I want one of those. :-)

Oy, I typed a big long comment, and then it got eaten. Sigh.

Anyhow, I looked through all your photos and your wedding was SO perfectly YOU. Just absolutely lovely. I lovelovelove your dress (is it vintage? Did I miss a story?), and the whole theme and color scheme. Cake was also sooo cool, and everyone looks fab. House and yard? Also perfect. All in all, just 110% groovy ME wedding. I SOOOO wish I could have been there.

With hugs and congratulations again -

XOXO,
Di

Janet,

I'm sure Mike's sister has a spider-fishing pic. The re-enactment is on the wedding video.

Di,

The wedding dress was my mom's. It turned a lovely ivory after 50 years of storage. I had it altered and we bought a new veil/hat to match.

The color scheme grew out of swatches of yellow, tangerine and coral ribbon. I showed the colors to the florist (whose work is mainly for television) and she went to the flower mart and brought back a sample arrangement that was spot on. The table flowers were gorgeous and the bouquets and bouts turned out mahvelous.

We dried one of the bridesmaids' bouquets, but mine didn't take to the drying process well. The flowers turned from ivory to brown. I think I'll have to go by the pictures.

I'll have to make some more copies of the wedding video so you can see the ceremony and all the behind-the-scenes stuff. :)

Lovely -- and you can't even tell everyone was dying of heat stroke. Seriously, beautiful photos.

These are great photos. Thanks for sharing the link. I especially like the candids--the ones of Mike tying his tie and you with that huge grin as you put in an earring.

Your dress is GORGEOUS, by the way. Glad to know it was your mom's.
