After bitching about yesterday's no-shows in an earlier post, the plumber surprised me by showing up 45 minutes earlier than expected today. He's going to replace our faulty toilet and the insurance the previous homeowners bought us will cover the cost.
I also believed him when he said he was coming back to finish the job today after he bought the toilet and supplies. At 7:00 pm, it seemed clear that wasn't going to happen. God only knows when or if he'll show up tomorrow or if I'll have to make another call to find out what's going on.
In other earthshattering news, I unboxed the set of Pyrex cookware, repositioned the microwave, and fell asleep on the couch with Mike shortly after 7:00 pm without cooking dinner. He's still there. I woke up after a 90 minute nap and wondered what on earth was so taxing about my day.
