This is what our back yard pond looks like in bloom.
So when all y'all come and visit (and we're fully expecting you will) we'll have the BBQ going, some cool beverages with sprigs of mint and scintillating conversation with this glorious backdrop.

Is that Utah or Texas? It's really cool.
That's Utah!
Minus the high-maintenance koi, I think the backyard pond will be a favorite hangout.
Our Texas backyard is cool (built in BBQ pit, citrus trees, lush but low-maintenance greenery) and is pretty much what sold us on this house.
We're having our first open house Sunday. Cross you fingers that we land a buyer soon!
Fingers duly crossed. And looking forward to a birthday gathering on that back deck! Keeping the Wizard out of the pond should be doable . . .
Good luck on Sunday!
I had the same thought JA, I just kept seeing little kids falling into the koi pond. Maybe I'm just paranoid from So Cal and its monthly news reports of a toddler who falls in the family pool and drowns.
anyway, Happy New House!
