The nook for the bed.
The fireplace/hearth upstairs.
The entry to the master bath/walk-in closet. Has a built-in ironing board.
The laundry nook upstairs.
The upstairs loo with massive jetted tub. It's cool, but am I looking forward to scrubbing it?

Wow, what a gem! Thanks for the pictures. Congratulations!
OMG! GET RID OF THAT FRONT-LOADING WASHER A.S.A.P. Your whites will never be truly white again and the damn thing will smell.
I HATE ours. I've been scheming ways to remodel the basement to accommodate a top loader for the last two years now. Hate that f*cker. Hate it.
Okay rant over.
Adorable house! Someone really put some love into that puppy. Congratulations!
The front loader isn't ours--it's the seller's. It should be gone by the time we get there.
We have to figure out if the laundry nook is set up to accomodate our electric dryer. Something I guess we should mention to the inspector before he goes back.
The seller unwittingly turned off the gas, making it impossible for the inspector to test any of the gas appliances and fixtures. So we have to get that ironed out for the inspector and appraiser.
I've had a front-loading washer for 9.5 years and have zero regrets. The trick is to get one that has an internal heater. I wash my whites at near-boiling temperatures (impossible with conventional washers that can't get the water hotter than it comes from your water heater), and the cottons come out bright white, even the bright yellow poopy onesies (I use oxiclean but never chlorine bleach, and do not pretreat).
Manmade fibers do not tolerate such high temperatures, so cotton-poly blends do come out kind of gray. But I'm too lazy to sort the all-cottons from the not, so that's the price I pay for not having to get too intimate with the poopy onesies. :)
Tewkes, don't paint all front-loaders with the same brush. Otherwise I might have to call you a washer-racist. ;) Like I said, I love mine and would buy it again. It's way way way energy- and water-efficient.
Did I already say that I LOVE THAT HOUSE!?! So cute.

I've been completely pleased with our front loader as well - it uses less water (important here in thirsty So Cal) and we even got a rebate from our water company when we bought it -
we did not buy the front load dryer though, no real advantage there and it was pricier. so, we have a mismatched pair.
