Our Lady of Perpetual Updates

Because the 3 other posts didn't capture all of the new news, here's more.

• Brother John dislocated his knee during jujitsu. The self-proclaimed Flower Boy will likely be on crutches at the wedding. Hey, maybe we can get the florist to decorate them!
• Wish the pants were traveling: Lands End emailed to let me know Janet's back ordered groomsperson pants are going to be on back order until 7/10! YIKES. I called and ordered another pair; we'll find out Friday whether these are actually available.
• The photographers did call back and are scrambling to keep my business. Will let us know by tomorrow who's shooting the wedding and will email samples of their work for me to OK. Said they'd give me a videographer for half price.
• My departure was announced at work during a staff meeting. The news was met by some gasps, a few questions after the meeting, and a smattering of apathy. Could be folks were more interested in the cake brought in for the section manager's birthday.
• Co-worker Cindy got the news this morning and did not rush to congratulate me as our supervisor predicted she would.
• My phone at work is suddenly on the fritz. It rings, but there's no dial tone and when I try to pick up a call, it won't connect me to the caller.
